Air Jordan is back at it again with yet another collaboration. This time it is with the beloved Atlanta-based boutique, A Ma Manière. After successful collaborations on the Air Jordan 1, 2, and 3 models, it was only fair that the iconic Air Jordan 4 got a taste of A Ma Manière’s premium richness, luxury, and class.
Luxurious Kicks
Founded in 2020, A Ma Manière’s commitment to the integrity of its brand through utilizing premium materials and exclusivity has made it a top contender for high-end brand collaborations. A Ma Manière, which translates to My Way in French, is a brand that emphasizes and embodies individualism and the subsequent cultural influence on urban communities. Like the rest of the brand release, the A Ma Maniére X Air Jordan 4 Retro “VIOLET ORE” pays homage to black leaders and the community at large. Their take on the silhouette includes a deep purple, which borders on a chocolate brown-dominated upper. The body is made up of premium leather, which gives it a very rich look. In order to maintain a clean, seamless aesthetic, they opted to match the netting and laces to the upper of the sneaker. The midsoles include a contrasting mix of cream and black hues, which beautifully break up the uniformity of the sneaker. Additional hints of purple can be found along the rubber outsole, mudguard, and heel tab. To top it off, you can find the iconic Jumpman Jordan logo and Ma Maniére’s logo on the left and right tongues, respectively.
The details on this sneaker are immaculate. The sock liners and insoles are quilted, which not only adds to the overall aesthetic of the sneaker but also contributes to its overall comfort by adding additional cushioning. However, it is the message at the heel tab, which reads, “It’s not about the shoes, it’s about where you’re going,” that takes the cake.
